ABOUT
Big shoutout to dictionaryapi.dev for providing a free dictionary resource. This is
the spirit of
random collaboration that embodies the internet at its best.
Without whoever that is, whoever I am couldn't have made this game for whoever you are.
Occasionally you might try to play a real word that
is inexplicably
missing from the dictionary. It will fail validation. I'm sorry about that. The dictionary is amazing
but it's not perfect.
Gameplay is what you make it. You have to start off with short words, but once you bank some
bonuses, you can challenge yourself to play longer words. Tap into your rich
personal lexicon, or just guess at words that are likely to exist.
The game displays definitions to help you explore your own ever-expanding vocabulary.
But the longer it goes, the harder it gets. Once you've used up all the obvious and convenient short
words, the game forces you to get creative.
Get a high score.
Beat that high score.
Screenshot that high score and challenge your
friends.
Show off your word list. You made that. Look at all the words you know.
If you enjoy this game, consider buying me a coffee or putting my kids through college.
Word nerd,
